This past weekend I was thrilled to see Slanted and Disenchanted at #4 in the Popsugar 2022 Reading List in the "books about bands" category on Goodreads! Nestled in with other brilliant titles like TJR's (my literary SJP) Daisy Jones and the Six, Patti Smith's Just Kids, Storyteller (which is on my TBR list) by Dave Grohl and so many others (Josie and the Pussycats, A Visit from the Goon Squad, Maryjane) I'd say my book is in rockin' company.
Because it's just my husband and I running Barre Chord Press from our attic office in France, the launch of this book has been a real "little engine that could" story. We don't have the muscle or the means for massive promotion, so these wins are purely word-of-mouth from readers who believe in the story and voted for it. So, a huge thank you to everyone who has read it and continues to champion the book!
